TREASURER
RITA M. SOLORIO is the Alumni Foundation Treasurer. She is an alumna of DePue High School, class of 1973. Rita is most recognized as a previous employee for the DePue Unit School District, as the building secretary. This position included working very closely with administration, teachers and school staff, Pre-K through 12 students, parents and outside vendors. She retired in 2020 after 25 years of service.
Rita is active in the community in a variety of ways. She is currently a trustee for the Selby Township Library which oversees the policy making and maintaining of the library, and has served on the board for 10 years. Rita has also contributed her time for the DePue Men’s Club helping during the Annual DePue Boat Races held on Lake DePue. She is the liaison for the Frank Solorio Scholarship which is awarded to a DePue resident senior student who plans to attend college after graduation. She is particularly proud to be associated with this scholarship as it enables a student to receive financial help in realizing their future plans.
